Truly Beautiful
I only just finished my build and I am already in love with this after a few hours playing around, it works amazingly well on just about anything, from vocals to basses, even to snare drums in combination with an expander, it can produce a wonderfully snappy snare sound with a tastefully thick tone underneath. This is a genuine must-have in my opinion.

Good stuff!
High quality kit and very clear instructions.(hard to mess this up)
This is my first tube gear so I really don't have any other similar stuff to compare it to, only plugin emulations of tube gear, which these pre's are completely superior to.
They sound superb, they have that tube 3d depth and the smooth saturation going on which software still cannot capture. i highly recommend these!

Seriously a gorgeous sounding preamp. Absolutely love it on everything I've tried it on.
I built 2 of these with literally 0 soldering experience and had no problems! Anybody can build these if they are willing to take their time.

Great unit
I'm really glad I got these since I was a bit on the fence about the AbbeyRoad sound initially. We all know and love Neve and API or tube, but the AB sound/hardware was always a bit more difficult/expensive to get a hold of. Very 'finished record' sound, thick, smooth and upfront. I can only compare these to the plugin emulation from A**stica.... and...as expected, these are better than the plugin hands down. (deeper soundstage, fuller, smoother)
Excellent kit, documentation and look/feel. Pretty straightforward build. So happy with the whole experience I already ordered the Tube pre's. Cheers to JP!

Great
I was especially looking forward to the MP573. I’d already built an EQ-573-II and an LA502 before. The order was just right. The “routine” for the build really paid off. I have to admit, when I was soldering the gain switch, the density of the pins did make me a little nervous.
But thanks to the detailed instructions, everything worked out perfectly on the first try.
The reward is a great preamp that sounds really good. When I combine it with the other modules, I have a channel strip that’s just awesome.
I’d like to thank SSK. The kit is really great.

Great EQ - love it
After the LA502, the EQ573-II was the second module I built. The EQ is significantly more complex than the compressor. The most important thing — and here I agree with the previous speakers — is to take your time. You have to work very carefully, especially when mounting the many capacitors. If you work neatly, they fit well on the board.
And now for the most important part: the sound. It’s a treat to listen with just your ears. I really enjoy working without the distraction of colorful EQ curves.
The highs are addictive. I have to keep reining myself in. With vocals and acoustic guitar, you reach your goal very quickly and put a smile on the musicians’ faces during recording.

Unbedingt empfehlenswert
Ich nutze den MC624 in der fertig montierten Variante seit zwei Jahren beruflich an einem analogen Audio-Messplatz und bin mehr als zufrieden: sehr gute Verabeitung, leichte Bedienbarkeit, beste Messwerte und hervorragende Audio-Qualität und falls mal was kaputt geht: (abgesehen vom geschlossenen Stromversorgungs-Modul) - keine SMD-Technik!

Son trés chaud
J'ai ce préamp depuis maintenant 1 an et je dois dire qu'il est vraiment trés bon.
Il sonne magnifiquement, genere de magnifiques harmonique qui rechauffe tout ce qui passe dedant. Grace au niveau d'entré on a la possibiliter de le faire saturer plus oui moins et tout ça de facon trés musicale. Il a un super niveau de sortie. Je l'utilise sur des voix, des guitares acoustiques, sur des Overhead aussi bref tout ce qui rentre a l'interieur en ressort avec un vrai grain magnifique. Encore un super Préamp de chez Soundskulptor !

Un pure bonheur
Encore un coup de maitre avec cet EQ.
Il sonne vraiment bien et est plus complet que l'original.

Super
Excellent compresseur ultra complet, peut être utilisé sur tout un tas de sources sonores, le bouton "dist" rajoute une vraie présence sur les voix,
La compression est très naturelle, on peut compresser 15db et ça sonne toujours bien.
Super également sur des drums pour leur donner un effet disto en rentrant fort dedans.
