Title: MU624 input level and output potentiometer
Post by: Pablo on May 25, 2023, 09:26:32 AM
Good morning, everyone. I have successfully completed my build and am very happy with how this compressor sounds. I do have one doubt that leads me to think I did not do the calibration very well. The input level in bypass is about 8dB lower than the original source and the output pot seems to boost very little between 1 and 8 and becomes extremely sensitive between 8 and 10 (especially between 9 and 10). I am aware that the potentiometers are logarithmic but wanted to know if this was normal as this is my first experience with this type of unit.
Thank you and have a nice day.

This is not normal.
The output level in bypass should be the same as the original source.
Check that you didn't swap the 2 pots.
When the unit is not powered, it falls in bypass mode. Check if it modifies the signal level.

I thought the three potentiometers were the same; I just paid attention to the direction. Can you please tell me how they should be positioned?
