Title: The glue on Diodes D5 & D6....
Post by: Danchinho on July 01, 2022, 07:52:21 PM
When it says to put some instant glue on diodes D5 & D6, is that like any kind of glue? I've got some Gorilla glue around here somewhere...
Or does it have to be special thermal glue or something?

The glue is there to do the thermal bridge between the diode and the heatsink PCB.
Super glue is what we use commonly because it is easy and fast.
I guess Gorilla will also work.
I would avoid those glues which stay elastic and are probably less conductive of heat (neoprene, silicone).
