I was setting up the CP5176 following everything from the guide and on step 6. after turning on the compressor I've heard a click and then the R57 just burned ..
I've checked and the R57 was the right one.
Can this be a bad Resistor or it's something worse?
Best regards,

Try again after removing the DOA.
If back to normal then check the DOA (https://www.soundskulptor.com/forum/index.php?topic=9.msg9#msg9).

The problem was on the DOA.
I've ordered one already made and tested from you and replaced the resistor, everything ok. Installed mine and it burned again, so the problem is on DOA..
Thanks for everything ;)

I have the exact same issue; resistor 56 & 57 burning on setup guide step instructing to include DOA. I have checked the DOA as instructed in the thread and don't have any of the listed issues. Recommendation?

Did you double check the power transistors not being swapped? It is a very frequent mistake.
Also are you sure that the 4 solders on each vertical PCB are making good contact. This also can make the resistors burn.
Does the LED light up?

Swapping the power transistors was the issue; it's working now. Originally I checked the orientation of each power transistor to the heatsink boards but not their designations and orientation to the DOA as a whole; I think the phrase "did you flip the power transistors" in the original SK25 troubleshooting post might have thrown me off. Thanks for the help!
