An external power supply allows achieving extremely silent microphone preamplifiers, giving noise figures that are impossible to reach when the transformer is in the same case. Check in the characteristics pages.

The PS2 is an external power supply unit that delivers 3 voltages : +30V, -30V and +48V. It can easily supply two complete Skulptor microphone pre racks equipped with 4 pre modules each. It is an extremely low noise switching PSU allowing the pre's to achieve their best noise figures.

The unit is 43mm high and can be conveniently installed in the bottom of a 19” gear rack.

Comes with a 1.80m power cord.

Difficulty level

This kit should only be built by experienced DIYers because it is mains connected but it is a very easy build because it uses pre-tested boxed modules.
